​​​​KARI'S STORY


In July 1986, I was riding my bike and was hit by a car. The accident left me with a leg injury and a wired jaw. This experience provided me with a lot of time to think about how precious life is and the importance of being strong and healthy. After spending eight weeks on crutches and eating through a straw, I had become weak and thin. When I was able, I began working out with weights and quickly realized how empowered this made me feel, both physically and emotionally. In 1988 I met a personal trainer who became my mentor, friend and changed my life. It was at this time I decided I  wanted to help others experience the joy of being strong, healthy and fit.


EXPERIENCE 
I have been working in the health and fitness industry since 1990. In 1992 I started my Personal Training Business in Plymouth, Minnesota. Over the years I have had the opportunity to work with and learn from hundreds of individuals of all ages, fitness levels and diverse backgrounds. I have a holistic approach to health, fitness and wellness and I look at the big picture. I understand, genetics play a role in peoples  health, but as more research points to the importance of lifestyle choices such as exercise, nutrition and the environment, I encourage people to educate themselves, take an active role in their personal health, keep physically fit, eat healthy foods and protect our air, water and land.
